Should they discover that the safest, easiest route includes additional steps, miles, turns, etc. or that the information we were given was not complete, they will adjust the price accordingly. However, the safest route is generally the least costly. Not only is accurate information important in determing the price of your move but it also determines the equipment that is needed and the manpower that is required.

8 The first three steps and the threshold at each location are no charge.  Any additional outside steps and all inside steps are charged per step based on the  type of instrument being moved. How many Inside Steps? How many Outside Steps?

9 Are there any Landings on the stairs?  If yes, please describe below.  Be sure to include whether there is a turn on the stairway (90 or 180 degrees), the size of the landing (large enough to fully place the piano on?), is it an open stairway or enclosed, and any other info that may be of importance. This information is important to determine whether our movers will have to "Up-End" the piano to maneuver it on the staircase or if an alternate route needs to be used.  There may be an additional charge and also may require more manpower depending on the circumstances.

10 Is there a smooth walkway from where our truck will be parked to the building ?  If not, please describe below. If the surface is rough or a lawn crossing we may need to lay ramps across it in order to transport the instrument over it or determine an alternate route.  There may be an additional fee for this and may require special equipment or more manpower.
